Very strange phenomenon feeling cold when overwhelmed

Hi, I wonder has anyone experienced it. I cannot figure it out. When I am very overwhelmed sometimes I can get like this cold feeling around me like it is trying to help me return to a normal state. I have had hypersensitivity reactions since childhood and I remember when I watched something scary on day time tv about 10 I got goosebumps and was unwell and I think that I felt cold as well. I cannot make it out.

Have you ever felt something like this. I am level 2 for sensory.

  • Thank you Iain, I think that this makes sense to me.

  • Thanks, I thought you may have been telling me it is fear, I wasn't certain though what you trying to communicate to me. Thanks for responding though.

It sounds like adrenaline is causing the blood to be drawn away from your skin and diverted to the muscles & brain as part of the fight or flight response.

    It is detailed here: https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/articles/22611-epinephrine-adrenaline

    What’s the fight-or-flight response?

    specifically:

Skin: Skin turns pale as blood vessels receive a signal to divert blood to areas more in need of your blood’s oxygen, such as your muscles, so you can fight or run away.

  • You are Jedi Material. Mastering your fear is a primary skill. Your sensitivity allows you to see clearly the dark side, but, as Yoda tells us.

“When you look at the dark side, careful you must be. For the dark side looks back.”

    and he also tells us

To be Jedi is to face the truth, and choose. Give off light, or darkness, Padawan. Be a candle or the night.”
