Some researchers argue the direction of this relationship goes the other way: Autistic children are more likely to be “fussy eaters,” changing the makeup of their microbiome.
I had no interest in food before about the age of eight, I imagine that my gut microbiome was extremely sparse. It is well known that diet has a huge effect on the nature of the individual's gut microbiome.
