Does anyone else here like football? I’d like to know what team do you support? Do you go to live games? I love football, and go to games regularly or try to at least. Just whenever tickets are up for grabs that is. I’ve never really met any fellow autistic people who were into football, they were all more into comics, video games, dungeons and dragons etc. I am just curious if anyone shares my interests on here?
I like nfl football a lot my team is kansas city chiefs and you know my favorite player is patrick mahomes
I love football. I support Argentina's most successful football club, Independiente.
Huge Liverpool fan here!
No I used to go with my dad and I would be really anxious and afraid. I’m okay going myself now. I get a buzz from going to it. It’s fun. I talk to the guy next to me as well he is also autistic. He doesn’t shout or anything when we score but he puts his arm around me lol.
Did you used to go on your own to games? That's what I did - some thought it strange that I didn't go with friends. At least that way I only had myself to worry about.
I'd speak to the guy sat next to me, but nothing much more than a hello and quick chat about Spurs.
I enjoy it very much, though I rarely watch a full match (I usually 'have permission' when it's an international tournament, such as the World Cup).
Nope. Two games away from winning the first trophy of his career (very unlikely, but not impossible). Clearly there have been disagreements behind the scenes.
That’s great. It’s a shame you get the social anxiety though. Luckily I don’t get social anxiety anymore which is good. But it must be hard
I am a massive Newcastle Utd fan...was diagnosed ASD at age 52. I realised then that football had been my special interest for 52 years. I used to have a season ticket for 20+ years but my social anxiety made me give it up. I've collected all sorts of memorabilia from programmes to signed strips etc. I also used to love playing...I'm too old now. I have started coaching my daughter's U13 team which I really enjoy.
Wow that’s some turning of the tables isn’t it. Just goes to show really
A real game of 2 halves between Bournemouth and Luton this evening.Luton 3-0 up at half time and then Bournemouth score 4 in the second half.
Result 4-3
Haha that’s good. Do you like watching the games?
Warnock didn't last long.
Arsenal were my Premiership Team, and Brentford were my Football League Team.
Now, both are Premiership.
I'm a Spurs fan.
Had a season ticket at White Hart lane for 2 or 3 seasons back in the early 2000's.It got so expensive (cost of season ticket, train fare, burger, beer, etc) and also meant me spending every other Saturday away from my young family. Then you had the mid-week evening games where you'd rush straight from work and not get home until very late.
Only been to the new stadium once - getting tickets form games is nigh on impossible these days. Plus you're probably looking at a total cost of £200 to see 1 game.
I love football. I'm a long-suffering Aberdeen fan.
