But is not qualified to make the diagnosis, says I need to see a specialist, and I have made my mind up to go private with psychiatry uk. I am 38, female and very anxious about this assessment, because if I have been missed I might be missed again? Can that even happen?
It's possible but remember that you're going to be seen by autism specialists so the chances of them missing the diagnosis are unlikely.
I think it's natural to be feeling anxious but try not to let it worry you too much, this is a positive thing and it should mean a happier life for you after. Good things are coming! Best of luck, I hope it all goes well for you.
