The weather is going to be hot this week. It looks like I'll be getting about 27 degrees here, maybe 28 during midday times, if I'm unlucky. I'm working today as well I'm so anxious about working and now I've got the heat to worry about and anxious in case I don't remember to drink as that's a problem for me. I'm surprised at this sudden increase in temperature after a much cooler August. I've got my hat and sunglasses, hoping I can hide under a tree with the children today.
I don’t even tan - I just burn so I tend to avoid the sun.
I was at a funeral today and couldn’t really wear a sun hat so the top of my head probably had more sun on it than it has had for years.
Can relate. I have a sunrise and sunset side to my flat. I leave my bedroom curtains drawn all day on the sunrise side to keep it cool. When it's really bright on the sunset side I will draw the curtains too, but I'm lucky enough to have a sea view from my living room and do enjoy the last few minutes before the sun disappears on the horizon.
I have virtually no hair and pale skin until I get a bit of a tan in the spring before the sun gets too hot.
I have ginger hair and pale skin - I’ll be closing the south side of my flat this week and living in the north side of the flat where it’s normally a couple of degrees cooler.
Who's ready for another heat filled day? ️
I love how we're all like this. And here was me thinking I was the only one
This is like that film 'The Magnificent Seven'. Just two more needed and we can call ourselves 'The Arid Seven'.
Make that five, me too
No idea to be honest but it does seem like a recurrent theme here.
Hot weather isn't my favourite. Give me winter any day!
I spent today in my air conditioned workshop fixing an old radio. It is now working with new components, and I managed to keep cool.
I'm just here to say I also LOATHE the hot weather. I was enjoying 12 degrees and overcast. I like sunshine, but not hot sunshine, and I only wear sandals, so being temperate suits me so I can have my feet out in the free/wild.
Well well, that's four of us,
So is it an Autistic trait?
Ben
Spot on. Occasional sips would be ideal but doesn't compute easily does it. Maybe we need a little alarm (quiet one) that gently reminds us every half hour to have a swig.
Lol yes, followed by bloating and nausea. You would think that would help me remember wouldn't you, but no.
I'm the same. Do you all then end up guzzling litres of fluid to compensate when you do finally remember?
I'm with you both on forgetting to drink. I don't feel thirsty, it makes it extremely difficult, worse in weather like this.

You and me both Katy, I thought I was the only one who fogets to drink, so it's good to know there's at least one other.
PS: Mind your chocolate doesn't melt.
The good news is I got on amazingly at work today. It and a lot better than I thought it would.
No points to anxiety today!
But it's so hot. I feel like I'm melting, wish I could go to a cooler part of the country for a few days. It looks like this is in for the week. So long as I remember to drink it should go ok.
Anything over about 23 and I start suffering, but today was extreme. Probably the same or worse for the next couple of days too.
Stay cool Charlie.
Yikes that's hot! You poor thing... I'm more of a winter fan as well. It's 27.3 here and that's much too hot for me.
29.5 degrees where I work today. I hate it. I did one of those DNA family history checks a couple of years ago and it came back that my origins were a mix of 75% Celtic, 17% Danish Viking, and 8% Anglo Saxon. No wonder I prefer winter to summer.
