I found this quite shocking

I found this very shocking to read. The idea that your employer can be in your 'business' to that degree leaves me cold. Awful awful.
Can you imagine having a job as a police officer and daily having to put up with so many people hating you, calling you pig / filth or whatever and having to deal with so much of the very worst of humanity and their consequences?
I've worked with ex police and they were all quite traumatised by the experience.
I can only imagine that the policy of the force is there to try to avoid bringing in people who may be vulnerable to this experience, but it does seem outdated in the world we live in.
I imagine the thinking is that they have enough problems with supposedly mentally healthy police officers without hiring anyone who's already marked.
But I guess whatever they're not doing already is probably better than what they are.
I wish Ms Mackenzie well with her legal action...... She should NOT have to go through this.
Thank you for posting Debbie, we must follow the story.
I've just searched the 'net' and it seems that the BBC are the only people covering it.
Yes. It seems to be like saying you mustn't be short-sighted even if glasses correct this.
Hello. I have just read this story, thanks for sharing.
I agree.
That is shocking. There's nothing wrong with taking antidepressants. What would they rather people stop taking them and then get depressed and kill themselves??
