Am not sure if others with ASD can relate, but everyday seems the same, just like groundhog Day.Pointless, boring and difficult.Anyway, Today i decicided to put my Christmas Tree up, yes i know, it,s july.I wanted something to look forward to.The problem is, i only took it down last week.Do you think there is anything wrong with me ?
I do feel like this most days too unfortunately. I have a passion for video games though and new gaming stuff comes out frequently so that does give me something to look forward to. I theorise though that it may be harder for autistic people to have things to look forward than it is for a neurotypical person since advertisements everywhere are aimed at the majority, neurotypical people. Personally stuff like holidays and concerts which are stuff my siblings like i have no interest in.

I think if you love having Christmas decorations up and it benefits you to have them there, you should do it. If somebody thinks there's something wrong with you for it then they need a better hobby than judging people.
Besides, I have Halloween stuff up all year, so I can't judge!
Thats the thing.I have a Christmas tree and Satan in the window. When love and hate collide huh ?
It could be an issue if you’re not a Christian.
P.s Can i pop you on top of my tree ?
Thanks Art.You are a star !
No there's nothing wrong with you. I do the same, keep decs up and then take them down, and listen to Xmas music all year round because it's awesome and feel good. Keep rocking and being awesome!
Bless you.Thank you Tris.
I don't think there's something wrong with you since that's a natural human thing to want. Maybe there are other things that would also give you something to look forward to/make days different that you'd find more fulfilling though?
