I’ve recently been prescribed medicinal cannabis from the sapphire clinic. Starting with adven 4% thc cbd oil and will then go onto the the 20% thc oil for my social anxiety. Has anyone tried these cbmp? And have they helped you at all?

OK - thank you Briar. FYI - I don't read national newspapers.....and scoop up news from here, there and everywhere.......but because I don't do ANY social media nor interweb sources.
That’s why you shouldn’t read national newspapers! It’s been legal since 2018. What you are referring to is people trying to get it from the nhs, where literally only a handle of people can obtain it.
OK cool. Is that legal here, (in the UK now?) Last time I read about it, I think the UK government had allowed special licences to be granted to specific UK citizens who needed it for severe seizures......and only a handful had been granted......and of those....the people said it was still way too hard to get cannabis.
Am I out of date ?
It’s medical cannabis, cannabis with thc and cbd that is legally prescribed by a consultant GP that is on a special register. It’s completely legal, but can only be prescribed by a private clinic for specific medical issues.
Morning JT.
Thanks for the update.....I'm always interested in anything that might make things better and easier for any/all of us. Could you just explain what this "stuff" is....I can't work it out from the preceding posts.....but my best guess is CBD infused vape fluid? ie completely legal in UK.
So it arrived. I am two nights into using it.
Night 1: best nights sleep I've had in years, wonderfully positive streams, woke feeling amazing.
Night 2: only managed 5 hours sleep, scary dreams, woke up feeling tired and stressed out. But I don't think I took enough.
Will feedback as I progress more
It is. Shame it isn't on the NHS properly yet, but hopefully in time. The programme only started in 2019 so fingers crossed.
It should arrive in a few days so I'll let you know how it goes
Cool. It’s quite interesting isn’t it? After you get past the first anxious moments of the call and video (I hate that part) it’s quite informative. Hopefully it gives you some relief from your crohns and anxiety. Update us
So today I had a consultation with a Dr for a prescription. I focused entirely on my Crohn's disease and anxiety.
Was really interesting and I hope it helps because it certainly seems like it should!! He said it's been very beneficial for those symptoms. Very impressed I am, super professional and well organised
It's great to hear that you're exploring medicinal cannabis for your social anxiety. While I haven't personally tried these oils, I've heard that many have found relief from various conditions through CBD products. It's important to note that everyone's experience can differ, so it might be helpful to connect with others who have tried the same products. Thanks that's all super useful. I've signed up and am awaiting their approval. See how it goes.
Oh, so you’ll have a consultation a month after the first one, then they are once every 3 months
If you sign up for the access thing, which is questionnaires....it’s 50 quid for initial consultation. Then your prescription. Usually around £5.50 a gram depending on what you want. Oils like 50 pounds for 10ml. Cheaper if you buy a large amount.
Really depends on how much you vape or use. I only use 10g a month so that’s like 50 pounds
Thank you. How much did you have to pay in the process?
Self refer, it’s private so you’ll pay for it. Go onto the uk cannabis sub on Reddit and ask around as there are a lot of clinics. Jorja Emerson looks like a decent one. I’m with sapphire and quite happy but there’s lots of choices.....
Abit nerve wracking at first. As long as you have two failed medications I.e antidepressants or similar and tried a talking therapy and not had psychosis, then it’s pretty straight forward. To speed things up, get a summary of care from your g.p practice and this speeds things up. Doctors at the clinic are usually well informed and friendly during the first face to face zoom meeting. Also, your G.P isn’t your parent and I would give zero fs what they might think. It really helps me more than what they peddle.
Very true. If you seen the people who are on the boards of the U.K. cannabis clinics....there are ex government in there amongst others, people who disagreed with the use whilst in power. Hypocrites really.
