I found out today that I can register as disabled with my county council because of autism.
I was surprised by this and am not sure if this will be of benefit but time will tell.

I can't find anything like that at all for my local council. The only service for adults seems to be a drop in support group which is held during the day when I am at work.
When it comes to autistic people, my council's efforts are 99% concentrated on children.
Even a concessionary bus pass isn't available to us, unless one has a learning disability. As for other criteria, I don't think I'd pass for a war widow regardless of my fashion sense.
