What are you reading at the moment?

Any recommendations?

I mainly read crime novels but have run out of new ones so am re-reading Graham Greene.

I am on Brighton Rock at the moment.

On a kindle due to eyesight issues.

  • re-reading Graham Greene

    How is he on re-reading?

(I remember being iincredibly impressed by The Quiet American, The End of the Affair and Twenty-One Stories, but wonder what I would think and feel returning to hsi writing.)

If you can stomach the unrelenting tone, you might like Simenon's Dirty Snow - another Pinky-like character.

  • I am probably reading it around 20 years after the last reading (I think I've read it twice before).

So, I am a 'different' person and reading from a different perspective.

Still loving it thanks and actually, because I know Brighton well, enjoying the seedy Brighton from the 1930s.

As you know, he's a writer able to integrate a serious/literary tone with very good stories and memorable characters.

    Thank you for the recommendation.

    I will look that up.
