I know a few and it's really annoys me for some reason no idea why it greats on me either being from a middle class back ground myself but unedcuated so have to do a working class job when I do get back into one. Think id discribe myself as mudle class. I say be proud of your class and hertige why hide it out of fear or embrasment no matter what class you are and those who denigh there even is a class system are usually the ones who hate people for there class.
I'm gonna stick my neck out and say that all this middle class Vs working class discussion, is actually very middle class.
I remember many years ago, I was visiting my sister and during a conversation I described someone as middle class. My thirteen year niece asked,
"mum what's middle class?",
My sister replied,
"It's people who think they're better than us, but they're not!"
But it's ironic cause the working class think there the ones who should rule and dominate and give the middle a class hard time even though most of us don't think that way. In fact the majority of us middle class feel a lot of shame and guilt for being middle class. Hence why cowards try to hide it by pretending there working class when there not just so they can fit in better. I've been bullied for my class and my upbringing on numerous occasions
I was constantly bullied at school by the so called middle classes, called a dosser etc because of my bad hygiene and clothes falling apart.
