Why do they ALWAYS insist on dying their hair purple, pink, blue or - worse still the partly-green Billie Eilish look?
Do they want to grow up, or what?
It's aposematism. It's a warning sign to keep away.
Does it actually work that way ? Doesn't it just put a target on our back for being more different. Its not like Typical humans pay attention to much let alone aposematic mechanism in frogs, snakes and larger animals.
