This is what I look like

People have their stereotypes but I have severe anxiety, I have no friends where I live. This is what I look like. I have been refused help by the NHS, social services, there's nothing available. And yet people might think I am just fine. Assumptions!

[I've removed the photo as I've learned it's against the community rules to post photographs, I think it was getting on people's nerves anyway seeing my face :)

  • This is Me... not good at chatting... Thanks for the compliment though... (...)

Yes, I do *love* Tofu, also. I am fine with eating it fried and/or "raw". But I still need to eat 'Dead Birds', sorry... And I am totally not interested in cooking. ( I eat for the nutrition & I am also D-Lysine-dependant... (!) )

I might run away now... there are others here, surely, & other Threads, interested in Recipies & cooking & stuff... But I have never looked for links about such things Myself... I am so sorry!... really...!

    Have fun on this Forum.

  • It is a pleasure to have you on the thread DC.

Alternatively, you could try the mung bean sprouts with tofu. A good tofu press and a few minutes squeezing the water out of the purchased tofu, a few minutes frying in a pan with peanut/sesame oil and some spices are all that's required for a slice of delicious Chinese delicacy.

  • ...Me again, just checking back upon this Thread. But *now* I see...

A UserName change - I thought "LoveOnTheNHS" was kind of a sweet thing to remark...  Slight smile

Posting Pictures of Oneself... Those are gone, too. (Now only Mine is left, sheesh.) As I said before, NAS used to censor self-portraits, yet the fact that a Moderator did not visit immediately and censor the pictures here is an indicator of what I said. Posting a Full real Name *and* the picture together is what they seem to censor nowadays, and that was not done here, so I thought that this Thread was okay.

In sight of all of that, I liked this Thread (and was not the only one, it seemed). But posting selfies and such as I said, still does continue to this day. (People cannot help posting their "proud pictures of my baby", especially.) But Yes, if a warning from NAS is received, then of course do heed that. And I Myself have no argument against "MungBeanSprouts"... just so long as they are also served with Meeeeeeeat...  Wink

  • despite the rules I liked the first picture, I won’t say why but it was a very distinctive beard that looked very familiar ;)

  • DC said “ but I no longer care so much and instead try to make up for it by dressing and asserting Myself with some *attitude*.”.

be comfortable in what you wear and don’t ever be told it’s wrong please.

its an outer expression of self.

I have said this before on this forum “ I for one would be more than happy to walk down any street beside you and dare anyone so much as look the wrong way at us”.

I dress to feel right, not the usual stereotype, actually very neat and tidy if not slightly eccentric looking Lol.

Fedora hats and winged  werecat sounds perfectly normal to me.

please be careful standing on top of that church spire,

Quite right about beards back in the 70’s and 90’s.

now the town shops have nothing but men’s beard emporiums and ladies nail and beauty salons.

seems every nation has an “ authentic( add region) beard parlour”.

Good fortune to YOU and all.

keep being you DC, ( )

  • You look good in both. Both looks suit you.

  • Me again in this Thread. If it means anything, to anyone else reading, I am not Young or Pretty Myself... I know that I am NOT at all pretty (I have & show a lot of 'Allergies'), but I no longer care so much and instead try to make up for it by dressing and asserting Myself with some *attitude*. I find it an annoying thing when people say that I am 'pretty' because I know that they are 'just being polite', so I no longer invite that Topic about Myself.

...I also wanted to say, that the picture is of Myself in My Winged-WereCat form... as You can see, I have My Wings folded back and down. How else did anyone think that I managed to get on top of that tall Church Spire...? ;-)

...I also kind of like Beards, and it was a frustrating time, back in the 70's- 90's, when society seemed to complain so much about facial hair, unless they were upon 'Grandfathers' or upon 'Evil Villains'. If someone on TV or American Movies had a Beard and was Upperclass, then they were always the Bad Guy, back then, it seemed... (!)

...Not sure what else to say upon this Thread, now. Good Fortune, Everyone.

  • An author if I ever saw one!

  • Sorry. Yes I guess hideous was a bit strong.

Thank you! I'm really liking it here:) I'm not really sure how much longer I'll stay in this work. I find it very stressful at the moment.

    Nice meeting you.

  • I doubt you are hideous!

After seeing your other post, welcome to the forum, it's interesting to have someone here who is a solicitor, I think you may be the first.

  • That photo was a good shot. The lighting is beautiful.

I've got a diagnosis of Asperger's. However have been fighting tooth and nail to get any support from the NHS/social services. My mum has been going through a complaints process with them for over a year now, many letters have been sent. Long ones sometimes too. Maybe I'm getting closer to getting help. Maybe!

  • You are all beautiful people with good kind faces.

I'd share a picture of myself but I am just so hideous so won't insult your thread.

  • ...However if the real reason for this Thread was about not getting support, then I apologise and cannot say much more than to just keep pressing and insisting, that is all... if You have no diagnosis of Autism then that is very *very* much worth pursuing, since it opens up a lot of Automatic support. Good Luck to You, Sincerely.

  • Greetings, and Nice to "see You", Mister 'Love OnThe NHS'. This kind of confirms what I had said upon other Threads, about the fact that NAS used to censor pictures identifying people, but then at around the start of this Year, so very many people did so, that they now do not regulate all of that as harshly as they used to.

Given the Title of this Thread, & as if in reciprocation, & for anyone else curious, I here repeat an old picture of Myself which I had posted before upon this Forum, about a Year ago. As You can see, I took this whilst resting upon a tall Church Spire...:

    Slight smile

  • Thank you. I kind of liked the look of the beard but it was uncomfortable getting food and drink stuck in it sometimes.

  • It's taken years off you! Mind you, I was going to say "Kudos!" for the primo beard...!

  • This is how I look after my haircut.

[I've removed the photo as I have learned it's against community rules to post photos that identify members.]

  • post another picture then. Sounds good

  • Thank you. I actually went to a Turkish barber's shop today and had my beard shaven off and have had a short hair cut. Mainly because the hair was beginning to grow out in an unruly and not very becoming way at the sides and the back. I miss the length a bit but think I'm coming round to the idea that as I'm no longer in my twenties and my hair's not as youthful or dynamic as it was, it's better off short.

  • Ha ha, no, they are actually just ornaments! Thanks for saying I have a kind face. That's a welcome compliment to receive.
