We are Neurodiverse Self Advocacy !
We are autistic adults who came together to form a charity and build a self-advocacy and peer to peer support network dedicated to empowering autistic adults, harnessing our talents and knowledge to develop new supportive services to overcome our barriers and achieve equality in employment, relationship, and wellbeing..
We want to transform the attitude to autism in society and develop a supportive community with services that are relevant and helpful to us.
Our mission is:
There are only 13 people in this group to date and it may be a duplication of this forum??
I have joined but don't understand the real reason for setting up this new group as the mission statement is covered by this forum.
Can you tell me what this SLACK group can do that is not possible in this forum?
If you are married or have a job or any other commitments think very carefully before signing anything...
Your time belongs to Slack! and your relationships may not survive!
Just for clarity, Bookworm, you are not and never were part of the Slack group, nor did you take on my invitation and join now, so just to be clear. You are still welcome, but you will have to sign the constitution and share the risks and .. costs.
.
so true
I was not aware of having any payments to make or signing any constitution. It is just an online social group isn't it??
And doesn't seem to have much activity; there has been more written on this post here than in the entire Slack group for this subject.
But then we Aspies often totally miss the point on these sort of matters and so we get taken in by scams and all sorts of things which others would be suspicious of.
Can anyone tell me the risks of joining the other group?? And the benefits? What can the other group do that this forum does not do??
