    Spending my Saturday afternoon drifting into deep nostalgia, got me round to listening to some Amazing Blondel, a band that blew my socks off when I say them live in the 1970s.  Their live act was very humourous, but what they played was so unexpected.

    This video will probably be so unexpected to some.  Those hippies amongst us may remember the times when there was a much more varied taste in music than there is today.  Amazing Blondel supported some of the top acts of the early 1970s and appeared at several festivals.  So to give a little taster of what they were like, here they are, recorded in Lincoln Cathedral in 1972:
