Owning land is a basic human right, that you used to be able to physically acquire and hold by means of superior violence and commitment to your families generational well being.
Nowadays it's more complicated and difficult. You have to be in the right place at the right time holding the right amount of money or Gold OR you have to work continuously for twenty five (forty now!) years paying the bank three to four times the original amount borrowed. A form of slavery that unilke real slavery is held to be very "respectable"..
