Temper an tears

Hello hope someone can help or advise , my 4 year old granddaughters nursery have said she is showing signs of autism, we have spoken to health visitor ,filled in a form etc and it is looking more an more that she does have autism, we put the meltdowns, the constant same questions, routines , down to the lockdown , but she has become worse, how do people cope with the temper, tears, screaming, we have tried distracting her, talking calmly, keeping to her routine, but nothing helps, also when taking her out , when she has a bad day peoples looks, comments, etc are hurtfull
