Hi all!

Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere but I can't seem to find any other posts on the subject but please do point me in the right direction if there is!

My son is 2 and a half and has a diagnosis of autism. He has always got a lot of sensory input through his head (pushing his head along the floor or touching things to his head for example) but just recently he has started headbutting things quite hard. He seems to do it when he gets excited, overwhelmed or angry. He doesn't ever seen to hurt himself when he does it though but I worry in case he's doing himself some damage!

I was wondering if anyone else has experience of this and whether or not I should try and stop him. Any advice would be great, thank you!
