Hi brand new to site but have an 11 year oldboy on the verge of puberty does anyone have a book they can recomnened to teach us how to navigate this alongside his asd. Any suggestions welcome. Thank you
Simon Griffin wrote a book called Fv*k-ng Good Manners. Any parent adopting these (not expecting their children to, but Leading By Example), add understanding, room to grow - basically treating our children with more respect than a client, will succeed.
I know not asd specific, but I thought explained things really clearly in a non patronising way

Hi the link doesn't seem to work and I'm very interested in seeing the list of recommendations books please. Any help welcome
Hi NAS49902,
It sounds like you might be interested in visiting our 'Sex education and puberty' page which can be found here - https://www.autism.org.uk/about/communication/sex-education.aspx - and has advice on talking to your child about physical changes, appropriate behaviour, relationships, and other matters relating to puberty. If you're interested in a book on the subject there is a list of books the NAS recommends at the bottom of the page.
Best wishes,
