Mine is DEFINITELY ... Emma (from Jane Austen).
Always trying to help, but sometimes making a complete mess of things.

Have you watched Black Sails? Thats all about Long John Silver's back story, and totally briliant.
Long John Silver, from Treasure Island. I would like to be a charming rogue, so very different from myself. It would mean only having one leg, but in compensation I would have a devastating ability to fight with a crutch.
I would be Zippy from Rainbow because he always tries anything but ends up in trouble when he messes up. I do think he’s a great character though and very unique
Great choice. I love that series and all of her books I've read, she's a really good author and I find so many of the character's she writes about relatable and interesting. Have you read her latest book - The Frozen People - it's an incredible story, hopefully she will make an Ali Dawson series I would buy them all!
I’m not sure and while there are many characters I would like to be like, I think that I’m most probably quite the young Briony from Atonement. Not the lying part and her rather selfish tendencies (or at least I like to think of myself as a less selfish and not as self-centered person), but the way she desperately tries to make sense of the confusing world around her through trying to fit everything into her narrative resonates with me. I often misinterpret situations in an attempt to understand them and act accordingly. She is also very aware of her presence and cares much about how others perceive her. We might have different intentions, but still. Lastly, she has to have things in a very particular way and her extreme black and white thinking as well as her sense of order can get in her way from time to time.
Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter.
She's different, and she doesn't seem to care how people view her. She is unapologetically herself. She sees the world differently. She's empathic, loves puddings, and she seems to have a lightness about her.
I can relate. I'm working on the lightness and not letting others get to me.
Near or L from deathnote
I just think it's their physical mannerisms I identify a lot with, or the repetitive patterns, or isolating activities preferences.
(In other words I think their autistic as well)
Profile might slightly have given that away though....
An older version of Patience from the series "Patience". I identified with her a lot in terms of having difficulties with socialising and trying to act "normal".
I'd be Dr Ruth Galloway, from Elly Griffith's novels, I've always fancied an academic career and archaeology and osteology have fascinated me for a long time. I'm also someone who wonders how other people managed to look so effortlessy stylish, I'd love to be able to do all those fancy drapes and knots on a scarf and not look like I'd tried to hang myself with a tea towel.
Mr Stevens in The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro. I can especially relate to him for various reasons as well as Mr Williams in the film Living youtu.be/-hCTXaQ1guE adapted by Kazuo Ishiguro (from the original film Ikiru)
I particularly like and relate to his works:
I’m new here, hi.
I guess I would be Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor from Doctor Who as I see so much of myself in her character – the unusual but stylish imo dress sense, the noticing every little thing, becoming randomly but completely absorbed in things and suddenly talking about things she finds interesting. So much of that is me and to see it portrayed on tv from one of my fave shows was like a dream come true for me. It made me feel a lot less alone, and I finally had somebody to relate to.
So yeah, definitely would be her if I could be a fictional character.
