If you were a fictional character, who would you be? And why? - Misc and chat

Mine is DEFINITELY ... Emma (from Jane Austen).

Always trying to help, but sometimes making a complete mess of things.

  • I’m not sure and while there are many characters I would like to be like, I think that I’m most probably quite the young Briony from Atonement. Not the lying part and her rather selfish tendencies (or at least I like to think of myself as a less selfish and not as self-centered person), but the way she desperately tries to make sense of the confusing world around her through trying to fit everything into her narrative resonates with me. I often misinterpret situations in an attempt to understand them and act accordingly. She is also very aware of her presence and cares much about how others perceive her. We might have different intentions, but still. Lastly, she has to have things in a very particular way and her extreme black and white thinking as well as her sense of order can get in her way from time to time.
