Has the gutter now become a symbol of pride?

Oscar Wilde said, "All of us are at the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars!" This was when the world was more optimistic about the vision of the future. Grandiose dreams of the Space Age whetted the appetite for science.

Now, in the era of smokes and mirrors, it seems that the underclass now have the upper hand. And they didn't have to make much of an effort to do so. The Middle Class failed in their duties to procreate and pass their values on to the children they did have. The Street-fighters emerged. Fight Club became an instruction manual.

What you think about, you create. So, if you witness a dog-eat-dog world then life will become a warzone.
