Great books for autistic people and their loved ones

Please feel free to add! These are books I've read and would definitely recommend for autistic people and as gifts for anyone you want to understand your experience more! Some aren't specific to autism but about cooccurring conditions like ADHD/mental health/trauma/social connection

  1. The Year I Met My Brain - Matilda Boseley (ADHD new diagnosis, the basics)
  2. Love & Autism - Kay Kerr (so well explains the social experience/isolation of being autistic - going to gift to my mum so she can better understand my experience as a late diagnosed)
  3. The Autists: Women on the Spectrum - Clara Tornvall (made me feel seen, includes background on the complex history of the ASD diagnosis)
  4. Polysecure - Jessica Fern (about attachment styles, trauma, and polyamory. Really interesting even just for the relationship/social connections part)
  5. Different, not Less - Chloe Hayden (lived experience, warm and funny
