What are you doing for Christmas?

"It's the most horrible time of the year" I sing this every year. Lol. Christmas is the worst. A horrible nightmare that lasts too long and gets too much hype.

I saw in a shop today they're already selling Christmas sweets, calendars and I saw an advert on TV and it's not even been Halloween yet! But it begs the question...

What are you doing this Christmas?

Undoubtedly I'll have family over. The lights will be too bright. I'll be forced to socialise. And I'll have to go to the Christmas work party. December is a long old month. I hate it. Please someone shoot me with a sleeping dart and let me sleep through it.

  • I've seen mince pies in the supermarket. Unfortunately you can't freeze them. Christmas falls on a Monday and deciding whether to have the meal on Sunday or Monday.

The day usually have a large breakfast and open presents. Also a relative phones to wish a merry Christmas. Routine is disputed as mainly Christmas TV on and radio station Christmas carols. Lucky my DABS radio got an iPod dock and plays CDs.

Bring back old memories as last time worked Christmas eve (getting the store ready for the sale); people messed about by spraying fabreeze which nearly blinded me. Also one colleague pretend to have the flu as refused to do a task (same on sale day); one of the bullies is an assistant store manager now. Every store there is a high turnover. I didn't go to the Christmas party as people drinking before the event and getting banned from the restaurant (one occasion the company had a bill for damages and denied it); colleagues didn't understand why I wasn't keen.

Gad I'm staying at home helping with the Christmas decorations. Last year made some out of Lego.

The community group usually has an annual Christmas meal. Need to book this. My town has got late night shopping which I go for free food. Also Mingle with people. Think I'll wear a face covering.
