I thought I'd make my own thread for this :–)
I've got a lot of CDs and have been listening to them a lot more recently.
I'm currently listening to my Disney princess CD ^^
I just listened to Kasabian and Everything Everything live at Leicester. I managed it but it has cost me and I’m struggling now. Bitter sweet experience…. Maybe I’ll watch it on tv next time
Kudos for getting out there and trying the experience.
Most bands I've found are better listened to at home on a bloody good 1980's style high end stereo if you can manage that. Summat with a name like Quad, or Meridian, or if you can pick the good ones out of the dross, even whafedale & cambridge audio had their moments.
Being able to say "I was there" is never worth the ticket price!
Being able to listen to my favourite band on a system that closely replicates the sound that the guy who did the sound engineering was listening to, at a time of my choosing with the people (or none) that I choose, HAS been very rewarding over the years. Except when I've had awkward neighnours, but that was very rare.
Nice to see your post I Sperg. Yes agree the ticket price isn’t worth it just to say you were there. Far too many people in close proximity sent me spiralling downwards. I love to listen to music on my headphones as it completely blocks everything else out which is great.
Im still trying to get over why I didn’t enjoy the night as much as everyone else did.
