So many times someone has talked at me for several minutes and all I could say in reply is yes or okay
I love learning from the generations who have trod the path ahead of me - one such beloved friend of the family (who were in their late 90's) used to ask (...but not actually asking) "Oh, really Dear?" ...it covered most bases, played for time etc. (they could hear just fine - they really used this stock phrase to filter the World on their own terms / at their own speed - I am going to try and remember that phrase when I graduate to that decade of being myself one day!).
When ever people ask me "how are you doing" then I just smile and say "yes". Its not even a yes or no question but I just panic lol I honestly dont blame the people at school for thinking im a little dull in the brain
