What is everyone having for their Christmas dinner this year? I'm intrigued to see the variety
Mine is going to be pigs in blankets, stuffing and a potato (random I know)
We don't like turkey because it's a strong taste and dry so we either have chicken or beef or pork with all the usual trimmings. I've never tasted goose or cockerel. I feel bad for eating meat as I love animals but it tastes soooo good. :-)
Tbf, if they learnt not to taste so good... :-)
We also have omnivorous nashers so we can eat meat and veg. :-)
Biologically it is certainly true. If we were meant to be primarily plant eaters, we would have longer colons, larger caecums (appendix) and a big abdomen (like great apes) to house the extra digestive apparatus.
Way I've always seen it hunter gstheras carnivores vegateranes would be so screwed if they were cast out into the wild along with vegans cause the majority of there products are man made.
The only thing I've ever had to kill myself has been fish, like a trout, I think I could probably try to do it. But my issue has always been that I'd be so guilty if I didn't dispatch them completely in the first attempt...
:-). I think we as humans are meant to eat meat because of the way our bodies are designed. This is a controversial statement that could lead to a whole other discussion if a vegan or vegetarian reads it. :-) As I said in response to PR, I would feel bad about killing an animal to eat it but if I was brought up in a family that did it then I most probably wouldn't feel the same....
