I usually do Zoom quizzes with the Belfast Meetup Group I used to be friendly with. However, I always leave before the end. I feel alone whenever the women in the place are drunk and chatting. Frustration creeps in, and I couldn't hack it.
Being alone in a crowd is a common trait of Aspies.
she probably just getting excited, which just makes everything more fun..
She thanked me in the end.
I'm over last night's hump.
some people why is she there ?
Last night's quiz turned out well. But one woman was slagging me off because my questions were harder than most quizzes. That pi$$ed me off, but I was told that she never enjoyed the quizzes.
Gearing up for my quizmaster role tonight.
Fireworks outside.
The US Show set in Greendale;

Community. (also, Greendale is the location of Riverdale High)
Boy, Kid or Bass! (Boss)
What's the first question asked at a Belfast Pub Quiz?
"Got a light, Buddy?"
what do they call u in Cookstown ? mucker ?
She has an Alsatian named Buddy, while my WhatsApp friend on the team has a cat; also named Buddy.
Belfast stopped calling you 'Mate' and now call you 'Buddy.'
make a cat noise "meeeoooooow"
On this weekend's Quiz.
There's a West Belfast Bird on my team; who can talk for Ireland. We're doing well, but the drinkers run the show with their memories of traveling, pets, and wine.
Never say never! ;)
Western Sahara is a disputed territory. A former Spanish colony, it was annexed by Morocco in 1975. Since then it has been the subject of a long-running territorial dispute between Morocco and its indigenous Saharawi people, led by the Polisario Front founded in 1973.
Maybe you will be correct in the future when the Saharawi go independent ( a fight over sand )
I will continue to take part, thanks. It's water off a duck's back to me.
I'm still miffed, though, at Western Sahara not being recognised by the Pointless team.
if you arent drinking u will feel left out because your inhibitions havent been removed by alcohol. This also happens to NTs when they dont drink they feel left out! I used to not drink when i was "the driver". You really react completely differently to your friends when they are pissed and you are not.
my advice is
Re attend your meetup group because you gain more than you loose. Try your best to join in but dont over do it. But dont give up. Take part. take part, take part, take part people will subconsciously build u into their group as time progresses.
Could you gently rib the women when they get drunk and become chatty?
I mean, sort of, reprimand them in a teasing way?
Because it seems they're being somewhat rude if they're leaving you out of the conversation at that point.
I was on last weekend's Zoom Quiz, too. This time; the theme was Pointless.
My team lost; as usual. And there was one answer - I thought would be pointless for sure - which didn't count. For mainland African countries on a coast with an ocean, I said Western Sahara. It wasn't an offically recognised country.
Also, Greendale (for locations of Fictional TV shows) was the setting for Postman Pat. However, a Bloke from Dublin on our team convinced us that it was the setting of some new show on the US version of Netflix. But those questions were from old Pointless episodes from the mid-2010s. There was one about a Tom Waits song covered by Rod Stewart (Downtown Train) which I rembered being asked on the show but forgot the answer. Though, I did help my team win a round (about Bass Players) for knowing that Guy Berryman is in Coldplay.
Though, the Bloke from Dublin could have helped us win a round on authors. He had a feeling that Gremlins was written by Roald Dhal. That would have won us the round.
Anyway, it was just for fun. Things will heat up this weekend; with the pubs shut.
My work have been doing zoom parties and I've been invited to a couple of zoom quizzes but I just don't think of enjoy them so I haven't joined in.
When I used to have Xbox live I'd only join in on the voice chat if it was just a few friends, sometimes other people would join in and that's when I'd go quiet and eventually excuse myself.
