I am in a caravan (week on holiday) currently watching match of the day (not my choice) with my 2 year old who won’t go to sleep! Earlier I went to Wroxham barns with my 5 year old and bought souvenirs in the gift shops, went in the animal farm part and had afternoon tea with my 5 year old. I just wondered what everyone else is doing this weekend?
This weekend I am taxi-dad. Daughter is doing falconry displays so I get to drop her off and pick her up - it means I've got a disjointed weekend of not being able to do anything big because I'll be needed to drive around some more - and I also get to watch the rain.
Wife and I are doing breakfast out both days in the gap between dropping daughter off and picking up - and a little Christmas shopping for the easy stuff.
Our weekend starts on Fridays because my partner works a compressed week. We had lunch at the bar in our sports club, followed by a lovely afternoon of swimming and relaxing in the jacuzzi and sauna. Yesterday, we spent an inordinate amount of time catching up on paperwork, but my dad is coming to visit today so we'll have a nice home-cooked meal and probably go for a walk along the seafront/cliff tops, weather permitting.
My weekend is set. Saturdays is go visit family the day. Sundays are get set for the coming week- washing, prepping food, baking weekly CAKE, shopping for supplies, spending time on a forum, daydreaming
If I had to watch MoTD, I'd have to leave :)
I hope that the falconry displays go well and that you’re managing to avoid getting stuck in traffic? Also hope that you and your wife enjoyed your breakfasts?
I’m glad that you had what seems like a very leisurely and relaxing day on Friday Good you got all the paperwork sorted before today. I hope you’ve had an enjoyable day with your dad?
I hope all your family were ok when you visited them yesterday? Have to bake the weekly cake MOTD was made much more tolerable by a good bottle of red
Yes thanks Kitsune. They are all good. I'm usually pretty quiet around them but lately I'm reporting back to them my weekly AS observations.Today's cake came out not bad- I have started adding Almond butterMOTD and wine. That'll work
Good that they’re all good What AS observations have you made this week, if you don’t mind me asking? What cake did you make today? This evening’s challenge is trying to get my youngest to go to sleep in her room in the caravan, after she worked out how to open the bedroom door earlier! She is currently climbing all over me and trying to pick a freckle off of my face, clearly tired!
saturday wash out. sunday stressed with wife coming down off medication so not a lot also. oh yeh looked after kids. monday i am looking forward to yoga for an hour at local gym never done it before but also quite nervous about it. gaz p.s hope you all had lovely weekends
I hope you enjoy your new yoga class today.
I found it physically quite hard going (I'm not very strong or flexible), but it is the quietest group setting I've ever encountered and really enjoyed being around people without the expectation of masses of social interaction. I also like Thai Bo for a similar reason (the really loud music prevents any small talk and my lack of coordination doesn't matter as there are no physical targets to hit).
