I am in a caravan (week on holiday) currently watching match of the day (not my choice) with my 2 year old who won’t go to sleep! Earlier I went to Wroxham barns with my 5 year old and bought souvenirs in the gift shops, went in the animal farm part and had afternoon tea with my 5 year old. I just wondered what everyone else is doing this weekend?
Sorry you've been having a tough time lately. I've enjoyed chatting to you on here since I joined.
Apologies Former Member, I've been a victim of the notification bug that you mentioned elsewhere. Villain is a gangster film and Burton plays the lead character called Vic Dakin. He really convinces as a menacing and sadistic crime boss ruling by fear. It's quite an influential film I would say. TV series like The Sweeney and Special Branch towards the end follow on from it if that means anything to you. I've not seen Equus but will check it out.
My dad died.I like holidays and animals so I hope I get to go to wroxham barns. I live in Somerset at the moment.
Yes the company was nice I guess it was social anxiety disorder which spoiled it for me. The whole time I was trying to not make any social mistakes and monitor my breathing so to not have a mini panic attack. I like your idea of going to the cinema That will be fine so long as it’s not too busy. I’ll have to see what’s on and see if he’s interested or not. I hope you’ve had a good day.
Aw! Sorry to hear that! Why were you crying? I did enjoy my week on holiday back in the October half term thank you. Wroxham Barns (with the animal farm) is amazing. I highly recommend visiting there if you’re ever in Norfolk.
Did you enjoy the company? If yes then maybe try the cinema = no pressure to think of things to say. If not then maybe try to let him down gently
I know right! I started it way back in the October half term. I didn’t think it would last long as the weekend only lasts two days. But here we are, 4 months later....
Made me smile. Thankyou.
My, this is a mammoth thread! By the time I get through it, it'll be the weekend, then I can update with something
Crying :(
Did you enjoy your week on holiday the animal farm sounded nice
Was ok. There wasnt a lot of speaking but he seemed to have fun. Tired now though. Worst fin is he wants to do it again on Thursday :(
How was the dinner?
I'm sorry I wasn't online to follow up on your post. Where I live, it's a different time zone, ahead of UK , so i had to call my mother who is ill, then go to bed.
Thanks also Kitsune for picking up the baton.
I also have a tendency to imagine that online messages (emails, posts) are looking and speaking directly into my soul. I even posted on it here once, and people wrote that I was over-thinking it and social media was vacuous and a waste of time.
But it's real for us, huh?
There was a person on FB who I'm sure was stalking my profile and doing copy-cat things like reusing memes and original ideas I had shared. I got really fed up with her, then one day I thought: if she needs to do this, she is the sad one. I won't let myself be sad any more because she copies me and gets likes.
Sometimes I snooze a person for 30 days or hide a post, to stop me obsessing about it. then i can think about something else or go for a walk to clear my head.
I'm meant to be goin out for dinner :( Not a date or anythin just a meal for fun apparently. Me mum thought it would be a good idea.
They certainly do! weirdly it's my middle daughter who's the one of the 3 that's definitely not autistic (2 year old is diagnosed and 22 year old I suspect is) that tires me out the most!
Yeah, I do what I enjoy, but sometimes it is bad since I don't have a lot of energy after working for four days.
It is, but it was tiring because of streaming (with nobody watching me haha). It sucks that your kids don't allow you to relax for too long, but then again they have too much energy that they need to expend before you're able to relax.
You'll probably get a couple of hundred of old notifications come through in another week or so :-)
Such a shame about Richard Burton and Helena B-C, they were such a good match, both on screen and off.
This seems like a good way to spend the weekend, relaxing. Alas, my children do not allow me to relax for too long!
