So, I thought that I’d revive my ‘caption this’ threads from a few months ago. I apologise if any pictures get recycled from the olds threads.
Basic rules: I post a silly picture, you post a caption and /or post another picture for myself and other people to caption. I’ll start you off with this. Have fun!
Now how fun! (that's not me by the way) But I really can't think of anything better than what's been posted at the moment. Those are Parrotlets.
Please excuse my ignorance of most things Avian, but are parrotlets a small sub breed of parrot or a baby parrot?
They're in the Parrot family, just 'pocket-sized', Kitsun.

Don’t get me wrong, pigeons have many uses and I kept pet rats for years until I became allergic to them. They make very good pets, very intelligent. I was simply asserting that if you turn your flat into a pigeon sanctuary and have said pigeons free to roam/fly/poop wherever they wish (as my brother-in-law did) then it is a salmonella risk (pigeon poop on kitchen worktops = super gross!).
Oh no! Did they keep you up all night? Typical youngsters, thinking that dinner should be served in the early hours of the morning! Though to be fair all my girls have slept through 12 hours from about 2 months old, except for the odd night. I hope you can have a reasonably relaxing and restful day today?
pigeons are our only member of the humming bird family and many won medals in WW1 and 11. They are still used today in sea search and rescue helicopters. I also like rats I have one in my garden/river he/she is very smart. When we finally destroy this planet its the pigeons and rats that will take over and save what is left. Just a wee vent. enjoyed that lol

To be fair this seems much like actual children! My eldest is 21 and she still hasn't grown up 'sighs!'
Children! They are perpetual toddlers. They are called fids (feathered kids) and their owners are parronts (parrot parents). They never grow up. Never. Ever.
I had no idea that parrots lived that long! What are they like as pets? Yes, pigeons are like flying rats, full of every disease going! I ‘hope’ that my brother-in-law was washing his hands before cooking!
well, as Parrots can live a long time, I've not had many. My first was with me for nearly 20 years then my current two I've had for six years- they are both aged 20. I've safehoused a few. Not sure about Pigeons- I'd have to get them sterilized :)
That seems like a really worth while cause to belong to. Have you rescued many parrots? I don’t have the time (3 children) to sign up to be a more regular/permanent animal rescuer, I just rescue and nurse back to health the odd injured wild animal that finds its way into my garden. One of my brother in laws turned his flat into a pigeon sanctuary of sorts several years ago, very messy! We have a photo that he sent us of one of his rescued pigeons standing singing in an old television set!
