Some consultants have suggested that we should do therapy on my 3 year old grandson practically continuously. The more the therapy the better will be the results. I think
that doing therapy this way can harm the child. I think a child should be left alone if he is enjoying an activity he is doing. Can anyone advise me what is the best course?
If they don’t do the OT, the autism will increase. The alternative is ABA which I don’t
favour.
So the question is, what are they hoping to achieve from the OT? Does that seem a likely outcome and is it worth the time investment etc. to get it? If they don't do the OT, what are the likely alternative outcomes?
It’s OT they propose. But I feel that the child should be given his own time to play at his will.
Wouldn't that be OT at his age? There is no harm in that at all!
What type of therapy or therapies do you think they are proposing?
