I need to go to the dentist

I've had two big fillings fall out in 3 days! Now I will have to run the gauntlet of the patronising receptionists telling me I can only phone between 9 and 11am and they can't see me for another X amount of days or weeks.

Still I guess I'm lucky to have an NHS dentist, for the time being anyway. But I still don't like the dentist, I don't have to be sedated anymore and I've not hit anyone for about 25 years now. But I do wish they'd make dentures properly so as they can take my remaining teeth away and I won't have to go anymore, ever. It makes no sense, the few remaining teeth I have left are full of fillings and frequently crumble, but they don't want to take them out, even though it's inevitable. Nor do they really want to hear that the reason my teeth are in such a state is because when I was a child the dentist used to not drill out teeth properly and leave bits of infection behind and fill on top so they all rotted from the inside out.
