Pip evidence.

I’m a few months into a pip claim, I’ve had acknowledgment but no assessment yet. I’ve sent proof of diagnosis dated 12th Dec.. July I made the claim, maybe June

anyways I’ve just had capability work assessment. Shall I send a copy of there decision as pip evidence? The decision is supportive, even thou I work.

  • You should really get support filling in the form,  honestly.. don’t risk filling in the form yourself. The support worker will make short work of it as they do it for a living.

I would also pay for evidence if the opportunity is there.. I paid for a detailed supporting letter from GP

  • Yep - chronic migraine treated with tablets and injections for 17 years and counting....

  • In my experience, you will want to go to a charity like equal lives who can assist you in filling out the form as their is a certain way in which individuals with autism have to word their responses in order to score enough points. If not worded correctly or if you use words that can be interpreted differently the decision maker will use that against you.

You'll also need a doctor's letter explaining your sensory processing difficulties as the Autism diagnosis isn't supporting evidence for sensory difficulties and their are currently limited pathways for adults diagnosis of sensory processing disorder.

If your like me and have been waiting years waiting for an additional diagnosis like ADHD you'll need your doctor to include that in your supporting letter as well as a letter from a phyciatrist, mental health professional or a social worker to explain that it most likely that you have the long awaited diagnosis and that its not your fault it's taken so long.

If you suffer from headaches, Migraine, Pain, Fatigue you'll also need a doctors letter to contain information supporting the likelihood of it being something like CFS, Fibromyalgia, Chronic daily migraine or POTS & to be seeing a medical professional about these conditions such as a specialist nurse.

  • Cute doggo.

Oh I see. She did ask me if I needed help with filling out forms - I said I only had trouble if the questions were really long and wordy but other than that I should be fine. By the sounds of it they're sending me a redacted version - but she also gave me a phone number if I get stuck.
