Hi. My 6 year old son has just been diagnosed with Asperger after 2 years of hell. the doctor just gave me his diagnosis and discharged us. What do we do next?
Hi, unfortunatley my son was diagnosed at 4yrs old and he's now 12 and still after all that time since being given the aspergers label we were told to go read up on it and that's been it ever since. You learn as you go, get your son his statement so he gets the extra help in school and good luck with the rest! Push for an occupational therapist assessment, that showed up loads we never even realised about our son, we did have to wait until he was 10yrs old before a referral was put in so act now!

They tell you what you got, then discharge you, and you wonder what next.
And I am still wondering what next ?
Where to turn?
Where and how to get a helping hand to solve specific problems and improve the quality of ones life ?
What kind of effective support is possible and available, for someone in your position, and someone in my position ?
Hopefully there are people with experience who can advise on this forum.
