20 years old, how will an aspergers diagnosis benefit me?

Title, I'm not sure I actually have aspergers since my childhood wasn't that troubled but anxiety/depression/apathy runs rife in my life now.

The test for it is in literal years for me due to a waiting list, but I'm curious on how being a diagnosed aspie would benefit me, my life is a bit of a mess really even though I don't necesarrily think I have aspergers I think I match a lot of the symptoms for other reasons.

Could anyone who was diganosed in their 20s give me an idea of any additional help ect. they got from it
