Friends

Hiya I’m new so I have no clue what I’m doing but I’m Hannah I’m 19 and I live in surrey

i was wondering how to make friends it’s really difficult because I don’t really know how to make a conversation with my old friends so I’m looking for some advice please

I don’t have any and it’s really lonely Slight smile

  • I need some friends. I'm in Scotland though. Is that too far away?

I'm wonderful though, so please take that fact into consideration when deciding.

  • Hi Hannah,

I'm 20 and feel the same way. It's super hard. If you want to feel free to message me and we can have some like minded conversations!

  • I would start with a text or an email like "Hey, it's been a while. How are you?" That's a good place to start and it doesn't require any vocal socialising. It's all text based which is a lot better for us autistics.

I hope this helps and you are able to get in touch with your friends again.

  • Hello

I'm a 40-year-old who loves photography, reading, music and podcasts.

I attend a social group about twice a month where we do arts and crafts, play games, and listen to guest speakers. Find your passions and a supportive community like I have!"

There is a support group which meets every month for 2 hours. A small fee. Unfortunately the venue is at a weatherspoons which isn't nice and there is a dark alleyway. I'll give it a miss.

  • Just message an old friend, and say hi, ask them what they've been up to, and tell them what you’ve been doing lately, and maybe ask to hang out some time so that you two can catch up further. But maybe that's too traditional and old-school for today's generation.
