Hello

Hello. I'm an autistic woman, 26 years old, living in the UK. I'm going back to university again soon. I'm finding this extremely difficult to adjust to but am hopeful things will improve and I'll be ok this time. I really want to be successful in this and get a good job eventually as I'm currently too dependent on my parents and I don't want to end up sectioned again, an experience I've had four times and I'm not intending to go through it ever again.

I like science, very interesting to me, but I'm not sure if it's my special interest. It could be. I'm still discovering so much about autism and myself.

  • Hello, and welcome to the forum!

My name is Scott, I'm 28 (Nearly 29) and I am also living with my parents and searching for a job. I was diagnosed with Level 2 Autism Spectrum disorder in September 2019 at the age of 24.

I have a degree in the field of computing.

I also like writing. I have written scripts and have sent them to production companies, without success.

I like TV dramas. Recently, I have been watching dramas such as Vera, After the Flood and Mr Bates Vs The Post Office.

I am also very well travelled having been to the USA three times (Once on an Alaskan cruise) and have been to Canada twice, once on the East coast and the second time on the west coast.

Please feel free to ask any questions.
