I have recently found out my youngest has ASD. Are there any groups anyone could suggest ? He seems to be searching for friends . He has much older siblings and I am worried that he isn’t getting enough social time with his age group .
Quite a few autistic kids do well with structured activities like Squirrels and Beavers (Scouts), Badgers (St John Ambulance) or Anchor Boys (Boys' Brigade.) The key is to find a unit where the leaders are aware and supportive - maybe volunteer yourself as a helper.
