Hi everyone,
I know I have autistic traits but haven’t yet received a formal diagnosis. I hope to meet people online who know and understand the daily difficulties and challenges of everyday life and to not feel so isolated and alone.
Greetings.
You are definitely not alone! ♂️
Hello, autism in Females is often hard to diagnose as it is seen as being more of a Male issue which is untrue of course. I was late in my own diagnosis at 38.
Welcome!
Welcome.
Hello’. You are definitely not alone.
Hello and welcome:)
I never realised I could be autistic until I did some research because my son had autistic traits.
It's never too late to be diagnosed :)
Originally my doctor thought I was just socially awkward before I was diagnosed.
Thank you for your messages. It really helps to know I am not alone and gives me hope.
Hi and welcome.
Hi LucyLandRover,
Thank you for the kind welcome message. Yes, I hope to get a formal diagnosis. I also have some neurological problems so hopefully I can talk to the neurologist about it at my next appointment. I should mention that it will be a very late diagnosis as I am now 50. I don’t think autism was that recognised when I was at school, I think girls are often just labelled as extremely shy!
Hi and welcome. This is a really good resource for autistic people. I hope you'll get your diagnosis soon. Keep the faith.
Hello and wellcome to the community. Yes life is a challenge and I often struggle but I also get a lot of enjoyment out of being autistic and being involved in my interests. I hope you are able to get a diagnosis soon.
