New to this

Hi everyone,

At the age of 24, I'm just starting to go through the process of diagnosis for ASC. For years it has never crossed my mind that I may be on the spectrum and now that a lot of things are making sense about my childhood and the 'quirks' I have, I'm struggling to come to terms with accepting the possibility of having ASC.

It feels extremely lonely to go through all of this without someone close to me who has been through the same so I was hoping someone would have some guidance on how to accept a diagnosis later in life.

I'm masking a lot less around my partner and family but it still embarrasses me to stim or simply be myself.

Please be kind and I hope you're all having a lovely weekend!
