Autism in the classroom

Why does my child not engage in the classroom. I can get my child to do all the work at home and my child is very intelligent. At school my child will run round they said going from one activity to another never really engaging.

It seems that when my child is with me in any setting, my child is settled, not loud. If you seen my child you would think that child is just a late developer
