Hello

Hi everyone,

I’m Alan from Perthshire. I’ve recently been diagnosed as autistic at 45. I’m not good at introductions, or social networking - but I’m here and hoping to make use of the forum and make some connections.

  • Hi Alison, Puff Pastry Hangman, and Aidie. Thanks for the welcome.

My interests are agriculture and heavy machines such as tractors and combines; Lego; video games; and railway infrastructure.
I feel blessed that I work in the railway industry and I have a job that I really enjoy.

  • Great to hear you have a job you love. My grandad drove trains all his working life. Steams trains to start with, then diesel and electric. In retirement, he went on a trip to the National Railway Museum in York (he didn't usually leave the East Anglian region). I could see on his face that it was the most amazing place he had ever been to. Trains stay in your blood apparently.
