Hello. I'm Mark.
I'm new on here. Not really sure what to do.
I'm 46, and was diagnosed with ASD in May 2019.
Hate loud noise, being around other people, going outside. Have very poor memory.
Have also had Type 1 Diabetes for 33+ years.
I collect the films of Italian composer Ennio Morricone (who passed away in July) on DVD, Blu-Ray + VHS.
Thanks for reading.
I'm sometimes not sure if being able to hear things that other people can't is a good or a bad thing ... ?
thank you.
thank you, raspberrypie. I would recommend the score to The Mission if you want a more relaxing introduction to Morricone's music:

It's a classic, Plastic. Just found out today it's now released in a 3 CD edition, with new recordings discovered! Some good news at last
Thank you Lucy. I have ear defenders on now, as neighbours always make too much noise. Spend 90% of my time in room, with headphones on listening to music!

The classic spaghetti western trilogy themes are just so raw and magical - they always make me cry.

Hello Mark,
wellcome to the community and I hope you will make a lot of friends here. I do not like noise and have to wear ear defenders when food shopping to calm myself. I prefer to keep away from people but do like to say hello and them move on, just enough to keep in contact but not be overwhelmed if that makes sense. The soundtrack to the Good, the Bad And the ugly created a picture in sound.
hey., interesting you like morricone...... the only films i've seen w his sound tracks are leone movies ---- which magnify sound to a very loud level.. interesting director. i hate sounds too --- car alarms, honks, construction, bass music, speeding cars, buzzing from electronics, and my tinnitus.............. happy december!
but also i can hear things further away than other people which made me a good hunter
Welcome
thank you for the reply. i sometimes wish I couldn't hear anything at all, but then I wouldn't be able to listen to music, which is only thing that keeps me sane(ish). might not be on here much at all, but thanks for the welcome
petrol lawnmowers, petrol leafblowers, boy racer car exhausts, people clicking nails, people in office drumming with pens, or or loud smalltalk. People playing music on phone and loudly in headphones so i can hear it. Light switches.
sensitive to light as well
Thank you.
Welcome!x
Thank you. My short-term memory seems to be getting worse as I get older. Not sure if it's due to ASD or all the Diabetic Hypo's I've had over the years! Is it ok to ask which sounds you don't like?
i hate particular sounds, and have to be careful around other people say in supermarket. I have poor-ish memory.
