Hi I am newly diagnosed

HI I am 45 and just received my diagnosis 5 weeks ago , I feel like I still have my training wheels on somewhat .

I haven't got the report back form the psychologist yet long wait I think.

And because of my age I am in a limbo about help /support I have begun the journey on the PIP side ( yikes ) .

But I am in Derby and there is nothing asides a group in Ripley for my age range.

    Welcome. I'm another of the middle-aged late-diagnosed brigade - diagnosed at 44, about 4 years ago now. As Windscale says, it does take some time for the dust to settle; I still find myself straightening things out in my head even now sometimes. Forums like this one have been the hugest help to me (like many, I was pretty much left to my own devices after diagnosis). Dive in, and ask absolutely anything; you'll find yourself having "aha" moments in no time at all!
