I have joined this site after it being recommended by someone after I explained to them that I really struggle with my ASD at times.
I am 18 and female. I was was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome when I was 15, I wasn’t the happiest about my diagnosis, but did get a lot of support and everything seemed to fit into place. This explained to me why I was so different. It also meant once I got my diagnosis I cared less about how different I was, lol.
I have only now started finding my diagnosis a lot more difficult. Mainly based on the attitudes people have towards my ASD. So here is where I have come to seek understanding and reassurance that I’m not alone (cheesy I know )
Hopefully I’ll be able to help others too and if this is the case then awesome, but if not then at least I tried I guess
thank you for taking the time to read this

Much love <3
Thank you for the link. I have to say that article and video is very helpful and also very relatable. I find it very said that females can mask the ASD better than males. It in turn makes life very difficult as we are extremely misunderstood because we “don’t seem autistic” it’s actually one of the most upsetting and frustrating things I find.
