Hi Folks

Hello guys, going to make my introduction as quick as I can. I am 23 years old and was diagnosed with autism at 2 years old. Affected many aspects of my life and I felt that having received the right support, I would not have been able to achieve half of what I have done. Left school at 16 years old with one GCSE. Needed to work my way up through the education ladder and in July, I will become a university graduate with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science. Trying to get my application for a masters degree sorted as we speak!

My inspiration is to be able to communicate ideas to others as to how best they can cope with a diagnosis of autism both in education and real life. I will be writing on the communities blog regularly but if you want to know anymore about myself, please don't hesitate to drop a message. Thank you and have a lovely day :-).

  • Hi Stavratross,

I relate to you so much I came out of school with 5 GCSE's and I had to drop out of A Levels due to my autism. I'm currently back to GCSE's (literature and art) as I want to study them in the future. I'm 19 and it feels like a long process. But my ambitions are Uni.

Congrats on your degree & much love :)
