I also have noticed that I could not find other people in the list that pops up when I wanted to compose a private message.

I would be happy to do a subscription fee if I could replace it with moderation. I could be a moderator.

I do not prefer friend requests. I take them literally.

I will alert the lead moderators to this post and ask them to check with the research department. It's part of the community rules that we don't allow research or surveys of any kind to be conducted on the forums, which is why the post was deleted - but if you had been given permission to do so then this may have been a mistake. Oh god, not only could I not message you but I couldn’t even find you in the list that pops up when you go to compose a message! Lol! I did however notice that some people had ‘cannot message’ by there name so that’s maybe for people who have opted to be contacted by friends only. But I have no idea how to message you. Maybe it would work better if I accessed it via my laptop? I’ll have a go if I go on the lap top. Feel free to try and message me because I went for the same options as you.

Hahaha I’ve got that as well. It was freaking me out until I realised that it must be a fault with the site. I’m glad you mentioned it! I was thinking at first that it was me, that I had done something wrong lol! Glad to know it’s not just me. I’ve only got one permanent notification though. I still try and check it and work it out! Lol! It takes me a looooooooooong time to learn and accept some things! 

Maybe if we all agreed to pay a subscription fee they could provide a platform of a higher standard more suitable to our needs? I know when my mentor got a lot of people signing up to his website, he had to after a while, charge a subscription fee so he could improve the quality of service by paying for a platform with a greater capacity to meet the needs of his growing subscribers. This has worked really well. 

Most sites don’t allow you to just pm who you want. That wouldn’t ordinarily work for me, although I’m sure on this site I opted to be able to be contacted by anyone but that might be something else. Usually, I prefer a friend request (which I don’t take literately, I just see it as a connection) before somebody contacts me but that’s when I was using Facebook and other social media platforms, which I currently don’t use. 

Why cant you just send a friend request and then pm them? You can put a note on a thread (in case they don’t see the friend request) and just ask them to accept your request so you can send them a message. Why can you not just do that? I know it’s one little extra step but it’s not too complicated to send a friend request, is it? I’m not sure. Actually, I think I did send one once, and I’m sure it was relatively straight forward although with someone like me, who is not tech savvy, nothing online is generally straight forward! Lol! But that’s just me, what can be easy for one can be hard for me.

I seem to have acquired the permanant position of having 2 notifications that can never, ever be found or read! The site appears to be falling apart  :/   Knowing my propensity for 'breaking' or 'jinxing' everything computer-or-internet-related I was begining to think I'd just broken my own account here somehow. There do seem to be new unwritten rules springing up every day here! 

I have been here since last summer and still find certain aspects of it confusing and unreliable. Still no email notifications despite being told they had been fixed, no new post notifications now either. Basically lots of things going wrong all the time, a substandard platform, it isn’t best suited to autistic people. To PM anyone you have to request friendship, once that is accepted if you then block them you can never reconnect with them, so friends for life?

I wanted to tell somebody something when I first joined, I felt it was important that they heard what I had to say, I didn’t want a friend and neither did they, me a male asking a female autistic to be my friend was not shall we say easy, I had to explain and reassure them I only wanted to tell them something in confidence, she accepted my request many weeks later, we talked, we do still. It is a nice thing but back then it freaked us both out.

It is me and the reason I did it was because I was greyed out not showing green. So I believed I had been deleted. It was only when I registered again I realised my posts could still be seen. I’m not trying to break any rules but it’s not the easiest site to navigate. 

P.S.... Please regard my previous Post. This here post is due to my noticing that you have begun another Thread with the same Title. It is a good idea to simply have one Thread, else it becomes too confusing or may be regarded as "Spam". This Thread has more than one reply, and so this Thread is the one that should be focussed upon.

EDIT! - I apologise again! The other Thread with the same title is copying yourself, and so they may be spamming and not you! This is at One in the morning... 

...In the unlikely event that this is yourself using two different UserNames...? (NAS36723?) This is not a good idea and you risk becoming Deleted for certain. All of this is nothing to do with myself, and is in the "Community Rules".

You have perhaps begun a precedent in *naming* an actual "Moderator", here...? 

Now that the deed is done, I shall try to watch this Thread with some interest, and see how it turns out for you. Do not be too surprised if this Thread suddenly disappears (is deleted) however... NAS may become very annoyed at this sort of thing, and may also at least "Lock" this Thread.

There are indeed other "malicious" persons infiltrating this NAS Forum, yet I myself do *not* believe that you are one of them. And that is why I contribute here and also "Like" this Thread...

Finally... if you do not understand all of that, then, well, I apologise and so do not worry too much about it (!). Fair Play to you in any case.
