Taking Food From UK to Spain for Holiday

Hello.

please could anyone offer advice? We previously had no issues taking sausage rolls on holiday before we left the EU. We have booked a holiday to Spain and I have been made aware that we won’t be able to take food products into the country.

Is there a way to get an exemption or anyone have any ideas who to contact? I fear we will need to cancel our family holiday as this is one of the very few products my child will eat.

many thanks,

Rob

  • If you are self-catering, then it should be possible to buy minced beef or lamb and pastry in Spain. You can then make your own. Pastry not containing suet or dairy should be OK to import, vegan puff pastry would be the safest. The foods prohibited are meat and dairy products, plus anything containing gelatine (which is an animal product).
