I've been diagnosed 24 years now.Follow up question:Do you feel that you understand your own Autism?
Three years, and yes autism has answered the questions I had about my 'peculiarities'. I thought for the entirety of my life before realising that I was autistic, that my problems and quirks were purely personal. I was just strange in a particularistic sense and no-one else was at all like me.
